Good Vibrations is inspired by the strong courtship calls of the cicadas. Cicadas are insects with an exceptionally loud song, produced in most species by the rapid buckling and unbuckling of drumlike tymbals and very unusual lifecycle.

They spend most of their lives as underground nymphs, emerging only after 13 or 17 years. Their high pitch singing can be heard mostly in the warm nights of May, perfect month for wearing Good Vibrations.
