In 1846 in Five Points neighbourhood the “protestants “lead by William Cutting (the Butcher) fights with the Irish immigrants – the “Dead Rabbits”. From this battle DeCorina gains the inspiration for one of a kind hat that keeps the tallness of the top hat from William Cutting, but adds the round crown in Irish green.
